KUNSTENISRAËL Magazine gives readers a glimpse into the inner workings of the foundation as well as an overview of the projects that we have supported and our plans for the future. The most recent edition focused on KUNSTENISRAËL’s plans: Israeli dance in Amsterdam’s Municipal Theatre, the Dutch debut of “object theater” producer Yael Rasooly, a new edition of jazz showcase “A Night in Tel Aviv”. Also an interview with the Goethe-Institut’s director about the role of cultural institutions like KUNSTENISRAËL and with top Dutch curators about their experience during the KUNSTENISRAËL research trips.
The first edition featured interviews with some of the people behind the scenes, including director Ken Gould and board chair Els Swaab, as well as various partners and recipients of KUNSTENISRAËL’s financial and publicity-related backing. Also in this issue: Israeli Ambassador Haim Divon discusses the cultural climate in Israel, museum director Edwin Jacobs reflects on the enormous impact of the art research trips organized by KUNSTENISRAËL, and our scout in Israel, Tal Yahas, presents some of the country’s up and coming talent.
