GROSSDANCECOMPANY

Creative duo Sagi Gross (Choreographer, director, film maker) and Jeroen Fransen (Director and interdisciplinary artist) are the artistic directors of GrossDanceCompany. The company presents their creations in theaters and also in other context and fields. In 2015 their dance-film Silent Force in combination with a live performance, was presented at The Louvre museum in Paris. In 2016 GrossDanceCompany was invited by the faculty of physiology and Neuroscience at university of Maastricht to participate in 'When art meets science'symposium during The Jazz Festival in Maastricht in Theater aan het Vrijhof. GDC was supported by CCN Caroline Carlson Roubaix in France, created works for Grand Rapids Ballet in Michigan, Frankfurt University, Sydney Dance Company-PPY and other companies and academies around the world. Their next premiere in October 2016 will be for Austinmer Dance Theatre, in Australia. Their performance Blind Sight is a metaphor for the impact of social and technological developments in relation to human relationships. But that's not all: during this night, which is part of KUNSTENISRAËL's series Music Connects, two dance films direct by Sagi Gross himself will also be screened: Agnieszka (2008) and Silent Force (2015).
